Possible to use multiple monitors - PD8 and Mavericks?

Since upgrading to Mavericks and it's new full screen mode, it seems it's no longer possible in Parallels Desktop 8 to use multiple displays?

Is the only way to get this functionality back to upgrade to PD9?
