How can I change VM networking modes?

How can I change VM networking modes?
Launch Parallels Desktop for Mac and click on the Network Adapter link in the main configuration window to access VM network settings.

I click on the red stop button on the right. It stops alright and goes away.
When its on and I click on the "Network Adapter" it says I need to stop it first.
What is the trick? It won't just be stopped to let me click anything.

Run you VM in Window Mode.

In the bottom right corner of the VM window, you should see several small icons. On mine, the 5th from the left is the network adapter. You can right-click on it.. From there, you can disconnect it or change to a different mode (e.g. shared to bridged).
 
Thank you Purplish, found it and changed it but no changes.
I am still not able to see my network from my VM.
I am climbing the walls here.
