ParallelsToolCenter.exe running 100%

Installed the 3188 build. It installed quite easily, but the performance is much worse than my previous version.
It seems, that ParallelsToolCenter.exe (under Win XP) is running 98-99% on the CPU at any given time. Is it supposed to do that? Is that the reason for my very slow performance? What can i do besides uninstalling Parallels?

OK, did it a couple of times, to no avail. Then reinstalled and uninstalled it again, manually removing all the "left overs". Then reinstalled again, and: TA-DAA!. It stopped sucking up all my CPU time. Still don't know why...

Thanks for input!
