prlctl doesn't open VM window

Greetings,

Starting a VM from the command line as below:

bash$ prlctl start boreas
Starting the VM...
The VM has been successfully started.

works... BUT no VM window opens. I have to start Parallels Desktop
in order to view the VM window.

Is there an option to start the VM and open window?

Question still unanswered -

BUMP (long time parallels owner, and I'm not inclined to pay yet another $150 for a simple support question like this)

This question in this thread still remains unanswered after over a year. When starting a windows VM via prlctl (prlctl start VM_Name), it starts headless (Parallels 5, OS 10.6.4). That's nice and good, but what if you wanted to then launch Parallels application and take control of the head of that machine. Instead, you get a blank black window and no way to grab control of the VM's display.

Is there a way to do this on windoze, or does one need to install VNC software on windoze to use it with the prlctl command line function?

I've been searching the web for answers, but none here or in the prlctl documentation and nothing out on the web at large.
