Probelm upgrading Vista to Windows 7

I just purchased the Windows 7 via online. I have tried the ISO and .EXE version and it simply does not work. I am logged in into Vista as an administrator. When I run the ISO version, it gives me the security issue that the folder is on read only mode which is not true. If I copy the .EXE version of Windows 7 to the desktop and run it from there, I get an invalid folder name. Does anyone knows how to do this correctly as I am going crazy here.

This is Insane. I bought this product and still can not use the dam thing.How the hell somone can get a respond in this forum? I spend 79 dollars and so far it has been useless.
