parallel tools

sorry for the typo.
upgraded P3 from v5626 to v5638. when starting vm, it asks that parallel tools need to be upgraded. as it is upgrading, it asks for a 'scan' file (please insert a disk with a 'Scan' file). where can i find this 'scan' file? many thanx

i hv an iMac 24, 2.8hz, 3gb, os 10.5.6, win 2000pro in P3 vm
 
Hello doby,

Please follow these steps as the Anti- Virus and the firewall are turned off.

1) Start the Windows OS > Go to Control Panel > Go to Add or Remove programs > Remove Parallels tools completely. If there is no Parallels tool in this list then skip to step 3.
2) Restart the Windows.
3) Open Finder > Mac HD > Library > Parallels > Tools > prl_tools_win.iso > Copy the " Setup.EXE " to a USB Flash drive.
4) Open Windows Operating System > go to My Computer > USB Flash drive > Double click on the " Setup.EXE " and allow it to install.
5) After the complete installation of Parallels tools. Please verify if you get this message " Parallels Tools has been install successfully ".

Please email us back the status of the issue.
 
went to mac HD, library, parallels, tools, cannot find prl_tools_win.iso. can it be hiding somewhere else? put a search for that file n nothing comes up. thanx

My colleague messed Parallels Deskto 4.0 and Parallels Desktop 3.0

Can you please provide us with teh screenshot of teh error message?
What do you receive when you click on Actions -> Install Parallels Tools? Did you try to reinstall Parallels Desktop?
