With 4GB of RAM in MacBook (3GB max), Will Parallels/Windows recognize extra 1GB?

Greetings,

I am running a MacBook Pro 17. I'm looking at upgrading my RAM from 2GB to either 3GB or 4GB.

The MacBook will only recognize 3GB. However, I'm curious if Windows within Parallels will see the extra 1GB the Mac OS doesn't recognize? Anyone know?
