4.0 Update Deactivated Product

Today I opened up Parallels on my Mac and was prompted to install an update to P. 4.0. I went through the steps to install my update and now I am being prompted to activate my product. Again.

I opened up my documentation and re-entered my Serial for, and the application tells me that the key is "invalid" and sends me to this page.

I need a working product ASAP. Why is this happening?

My product build number is 4.0.3810 (December 30, 2008) I purchased Parallels 4.0 as an upgrade to Parallels 3.0.
 
If Parallels 3.0 was an upgrade from Parallels 2.5, you need to enter the key for 2.5 in addition to the 4.0 key.
