Leopard and Parallels

Leopard is scheduled to be released in Dec 06 or Jan 07 from what I hear. What are the chances Apple will scoop up Parallels and include it the Leopard bundle or that Leopard will allow Windows apps to run natively?

One thought I've had is the recent quietness of Parallels people might indicate that negociations are in progress.

If that does happen I sure hope Apple doesn't "Applize" the hell out of it and keep it functional and fast.

I'd love to see it happen, but I don't think a 6 month timeline is near realistic to get something like Parallels "baked" into OSX. If / when apple includes virtualization, it will most assuredly be seamless.

I think there are only two possible outcomes for Parallels :- Either Apple or MS will buy it !

Have you seen the revised "Touche" commerical. It references that you need Parallels and Windows to run on OSX instead of just saying Windows (this is in the "fine print" you would see at the bottom of the screen).
