Just purchased parallels 4.0, key won't work !

Hey guys, I haven't used this software before, but i find that mac does not have much software options so i decided to use a VM. Just purchased the parallels software, got my activation key but it seems too long, when i type in or copy / paste it in, there's about 5 leters/numbers that won't fit...anyone has a clue ?? I tried emailing parallel before concerning another query but they haven't gotten back to me yet so i think i'd find more help here than were i to ask them and receive an answer to months later. anyone with any advice ??

Ouch.

From your description, the only guess of mine - you have purchased a key for Parallels Desktop 4.0, but have installed and trying to activate Parallels Desktop 3.0, as PD4 key is exactly 5 symbols longer than PD3 one. Please attach a screenshot of activation window (with activation key removed) here, and send your activation key as a private message to me.

I didn't mean to sound harsh but i haven't had my question answered yet and i had sent it a while back. The time before I has asked another question and they took over a week to get back to me and I was in the process of trying to make up my mind between VM and parallels. I chose the latter because, and please do not take offense, I'd heard the software was excellent although the support was really slow. Usually i never have problems with my software that myself can't figure out so i decided to go with parallels.

I downloaded the trial that was sitting online from the website about a month ago, if the 4.0 version has been released (and obviously that's the one i bought, not having a clue there was any difference), why not put the right trial software online for download instead of the 3.0 since 4.0 is the latest ?
