Is Parallels solid enough to replace VPC TODAY?

Tried this.

But my printer is an HP 2500 all in one device it printed gibberish.

Tried the PCL version also but again just got gibberish????????

Many thanks for all the input.

I took the plunge on the weekend and bought a 17-inch MacBook Pro and Parallels.

What a difference to VPC....................... Chalk and cheese.

I now have a fast windows environment for Outlook (mostly what I use it for plus Siebel).

Parallels has been a revelation and very easy to get started with.

The only criticism I have is printing.

Why is there no generic printer driver to route all printing to the Mac printer like there is on VPC?

Otherwise FULL MARKS an EXCELLENT product.

All my printing problems were solved when I dl'ed Bonjour.exe form the Apple site and then (not choosing the proposed but) selecting Generic/Postscript (eben though I don't have a PS printer).
 
I did exactly the same as "macgebruiker" and I can print using Bonjour. One other thing that you might try is to install the drivers for your printer in the Windows environment, then use Bonjour. I set up a friend's over the weekend and that is what I had to do to get it to work. If you don't have the cd, go to hp.com and download the drivers from there.
 
Parallels RC2 instead of VPC?

YES! With HASP support, this is a no brainer. Runs faster than any previous version of VPC!

Bonjour had stopped working, so I re-installed AND I set my printers up to be 'shared' from the Mac side.

All started working again and using hte generic Postscript driver.

Only trouble now is when printing a web page I am getting header and footer stuff printed. Any idea how to turn this off?
