Brand new 17" MacBook Pro (1 hour old) ... first installation of any software was Parallels (installed fine).

Tried to install Windows XP ... OS Installation Assistant:

1) Express
2) Entered my Windows XP Home Edition Product Key, Name, Business
3) No extra options.

I get the error: Unable to allocate memory for monitor PE!

This is repeatable. What do I do now?

Thanks in advance,

Hello Jeff,

Please try the following:

a) reboot the MAC

b) decrease the size of RAM memory allocated to the virtual machine

c) enable virtual memory preallocation

d) reinstall Parallels Desktop this way.

Best regards,
Xenos
