I installed 3.0 over 2.5, then booted to Windows XP (Boot Camp install.) Seemed to go fine, the tools loaded, and prompted for a restart. I rebooted, and everything seemed fine. I then booted to my Boot Camp partition to make sure it still worked. Booted up okay, but no keyboard or mouse at all. Had to power cycle to get out of Windows (hitting the power button attempted a shut down, but the HP printer drivers wouldn't let it.)

OS X booted fine, but when I tried to run my XP VM, it went to a blue screen STOP error, then rebooted too fast to read it (plus it had that Parallels banner splashed across it which blocked most of the error message.) Now every time I try to load Boot Camp via Parallels, it does a reboot loop. I did notice that the startup menu shows two Parallels Desktop options. I was able to change the selection on one boot, but it made no difference.)

EDIT: I tried booting to Boot Camp directly. If I pick Parallels it says invalid hal.dll, and if I pick Windows XP Professional, it blue screens with a STOP error.

I want my old install back. :p
