If I purchase a new copy of XP Home or Proand if I activate it inside of Parallels, is it likely I will run into problems with activation in the future if the bios etc changes?
I did this yesterday with a new copy of WinXP Home SP2. I first tried to activate the software using the internet connection (which was working fine). It didn't take. Then I called their 800 number and went through the routine without speaking to a live person. That didn't take either. I then transferred over to a live person, and that worked OK. Just so you know it ain't easy.
