I'm trying to get an Elite Series 2 controller to work WIRED. I don't care if bluetooth works, I'm not going to use bluetooth because features such as adaptive triggers don't work with bluetooth, also bluetooth has a lower polling rate. Do not tell me to use bluetooth. I'm on the latest Parallels 20.3.0, on Windows 11 26100.3375. Whenever I plug the controller in I select the VM and it seems to work just fine, the controller doesn't blink or anything and it just stays on a solid white. The controller is also showing up in Device Manager as an "Xbox One Controller". However, whenever I try to use any app that uses the controller such as a game, or even the Xbox Accessories app it doesn't work or show up.

I have the same controller. It seems to work if you connect it to the Mac and let Parallels fake it for you, i.e., assign it to the Mac and not Windows. In the devices menu, "Controller" should be UNCHECKED.

If you connect it to the Windows guest, it won't work... it shows up but doesn't receive any inputs.

The Xbox Accessories app won't work in either mode, sadly :( That means we can't update the firmware or reassign paddle buttons.

I found out that this is actually correct which is totally backwards. Why would connecting it to my host work fine, but when I directly connect it to the VM it doesn't work at all. I should be able to connect my controller directly to the virtual machine and have it work but it does not work that way apparently. Parallels needs to fix this for ALL Xbox controllers, this has been an issue for literal years at this point and I'm not sure how no one has brought it to their attention and how it hasn't been fixed. You are also right about stuff like the Xbox Accessories app not working. I believe this is because the actual controller isn't connected inside the VM. If you look at joy.cpl it shows up as a virtualized xbox 360 controller, which is totally incorrect.

I'm having a similar issue with my Xbox Wireless Controller (with USB-C input), and I am interested in the resolution.

When the controller is plugged in, if I select the Controller item the Parallels Devices > USB & Bluetooth list, the Windows Device Manager lists an Xbox Controller under Xbox Peripherals. But the Game Controller setting (under Control Panel) doesn't list anything, the Xbox app doesn't see any controller, and the Xbox Accessories app doesn't see the controller.

If I deselect the Controller under the USB & Bluetooth list, the Device Manager entry changes to Xbox 360 Controller for Windows (under Xbox 360 Peripherals), the Game Controller setting lists Controller (Virtual Xbox Controller), and a controller is visible to the Xbox app. But the controller still isn't accessible via the Xbox Accessories App, which is what I need.

I'm running Parallels Version 20.3.1 (55959) on top of macOS Sequoia 15.5.
