The little search type window that pops up when you click the ball at the bottom right of the Word 2007 window(below the vertical scrollbar) should have a line of help text above the two rows of icons. The text in here is almost always "Cancel", occasionally blank and has only ever once changed to reflect the icon that my mouse was hovering over. I have other very occasional screen redrawing problems, so far just dragging the window off the screen and back again is enough to force a redraw. Any ideas how I can get to a point where this isn'r required? I realise this is a tiny thing, but apart from that (and the general snail's pace that Parallels 5+6 runs at) the whole experience is pretty good. Thanks.
Hi, Jeremy! Could you please send us screenshot of your Virtual Machine and we'll investigate this problem. Also please send Problem Report (via Help menu) and post it's ID here.
Hi - thanks for the reply. I'm afraid I can't do that because I have uninstalled Parallels. Since upgrading to 6 the Mac became very unresponsive, apps in the VM started crashing a lot and even the Mac itself went a bit wobbly, taking over five minutes to shut down. I uninstalled Parallels but this didn't help so I have just reinstalled OSX, but without a disk erase so it's a bit experimental at the moment. I fully intend to reinstall Parallels, but only after I have sorted out the mess that it looks like the upgrade has made of my Mac. If it behaves the same next time then I will simply use Boot Camp. I have tried the other VM products and they were too slow. Jeremy
