Hi, I recently updated Win Xp with some express install updates and the Windows instance froze. After restarting the machine I now have a desktop background that is on top of the icons. Sometimes, during video redraws I can see a segment of the desktop with icons intact but I can't click on them, they are obscured by the background. I have tried changing the background but to no avail. I can start programs by going through the start button menus. Ideas? Parallels 2.5 build 3214, Win XP SP2, 1 gig RAM, 32 gigs disk space. Dave
