I have noticed that my virtual hard drive will churn for a while (3 or 4 minutes) after starting the VM up. Occasionally, this is Windows Update, but it occurs about every other day. Does Windows Update occur that frequently? Or, could it be some spyware reconnecting to a source (i.e. sending off a flock of spam e-mails)? Once finished the VM remains quick and responsive.

    Thanks in advance... Jack
