I am trying to install WinXP onto my MBP and it doesnt' work. It gets VERY close to the end of the install, where WinXp says there's "5 min left", then the entire OS demands that I reboot. Anyone have any ideas?

What is your memory configuration? How much RAM in host and how much RAM configured for VM?

I currently have 512MB of RAM in the Host. I ordered another 1 GB chip so that should be installed later tonight.

And how much RAM did you configured for your VM? Try to configure something 128M and 180M for guest XP - it is best for 512M host.

I now have a 1.5GB hose and allocated 1GB to the Parallels It installed XP surprisingly quick, but now the mouse and keyboard don't work in XP. Thoughts?

Did you installed Parallels Tools in guest XP? To do so you should boot guest XP and click on menu VM->Install Parallels Tools.
