    Hi,

I'm using Parallels Workstation 2.2 Beta on Windows XP host. Inside the VM runs Windows 98SE. I've installed the Parallels Tools and noticed a few things:

First of all the Video Driver status is unknown instead of enabled. How can I enable this support. The display settings in control panel, however claims, that I'm using "Parallels Video Adpater, 2.0".

Second - I'm missing the Mouse Synchronization in the status panel of Parallel Tools. The User Guide shows me a picture where this driver is enabled - why not in my case. I digged a little deeper in the VMTools.iso and found that there is no such driver for Win98 - is this correct?
The mouse cursor, however, is sometimes very slow or sticks w/o moving.

Third - the Network Driver status is missing, however I can access the network!

The next one is the missing Shared Folder Tool. This entry is not listed either. Ah, yes, the configuration of the VM says it already: it's not available for this kind of guest :(

My next problem is the missing sound although the status bar icon is flashing while playing some sound files in Win98, I cannot hear anything.

BTW running AMD 3700+ with 2Gig RAM.

No hints or statements from official side for any of those issues? I will try the latest (stable) of Parallels Workstation and see if it worked this way. Report follows.

You ask why I need Win98 today, the answer is simple: the kids are playing some old games which cannot be installed in WinXP anymore...

BTW a mouse driver for Win98 would be a big improvement to avoid those sticking on the screen!

...and now the good news: sound works with PWst 2.1!

So this is a version 2.2 issue only!
