I can install Windows98 after passively fooling Parallels and Windows that I have a floppy drive. (still not sure how I did it) So I got Win98SE installed. Problem is that the video is REALLY, REALLY slow. I can have Windows search for a driver for the Parallels device and it installs it (I think from the extracted Parallel tools??). Everything is fast. Then if I reboot, it removes it or does something to the affect that it's super slow VGA style again. Ideas? (I have some old games that are Win95/98 only)
What version of Parallels Desktop are you using? If you're using Parallels Desktop 6, then did you follow the instructions at: http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v6/docs/en/Parallels_Desktop_Users_Guide/22573.htm
