Windows XP won't start in Parallels

I have just downloaded and activated Parallels. I have transported the entire virtual machine from VMWare. When I try to start Windows, it begins the process and then I get an error message which closes down the Windows which then starts the process once automatically at the point of the splash window with my name to click to start Windows. How do I get this to work properly?
