    Hey there,

just got a MacBook along with Parallels to go off to University with and encountered a problem straight away,

i have the XP SP2 install disk, and after i've done all the settings etc and click the play button, i get

    "boot from hard drive... failed
    boot from cd/dvd-rom drive... failed
    boot from floppy drive...
    non-system disk or disk error
replace and press any key when ready"

i've been looking around on these forums and see many people who've had the same problem, which have all been solved - i've tried everything that people've suggested (turning it into an ISO using Disk Utility etc) but all have came to basically the same messages (sometimes a pop-up window saying that it cant find anything to boot off or whatever it says)

    cheers in adv

    J
(using vers 3 if anyone needs to know)

edit: you said about holding down option after restarting, when i do it there's no option for WinXP, so i'm guessing it's the disk that's the problem....
