I am running XP on a MacBook Pro with 2.8 GHz Core 2 Duo and 4 GB of memory and 300 GB hard drive with plenty of space. I've been experiencing Windows grinding to a halt, with 100% utilized, 70-80% by the task manager. I had installed Explorer 8, which I uninstalled. When shutting down to reboot, I have experienced a program called ccApp that is hung. I use Quicken for Windows in this Virtual Machine. I've defragged but it still happens.
    I would appreciate any suggestions.

    http://kb.parallels.com/en/5810 didn't help

    Thank you for the advice.
I checked the device driver as the article suggests but there were no problems detected.
To clarify, its the Windows OS CPU that goes to 100%, not the MAC CPU. That slows down but doesn't go to 100%.
    Thanks.
