Windows XP crash killed Parallels

I have (had) Build 4.0.3810 working fine with 3 virtual machines installed.
Today Win XP stalled shutting down, during the blue screen phase, so I force quit Parallels.
When I restarted Parallels my "Virtual Machines List" window is gone.
The menu item has the tick icon when dropping down the "Window" menu.
Under the "Help" menu the "Activate Product" is available but the "Register Product" is grayed out.
In my preferences folder I can see all five files in the Parallels folder. The licenses.xml file is there and contains both Key numbers. All seems in order.
All menu items under the "File" menu all items are also grayed out, same with "View" menu items.

What went so wrong???
How can I fix this???

 

I installed a more recent Build of Parallels and the problem fixed itself!
If this would happen when the most recent Build was used I guess you have to wait for the next one.
Or, reinstall Parallels from scratch.
