Hello everyone, I have a user who was on Windows XP Professional 64-bit SP2 mainly using Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010. The problem is that over time, Windows would slow to a crawl, taking as much as 20 minutes to save a file that should at most take 2 minutes (saving to a file server over Fast Ethernet 100Mbps). The user was on Parallels 4.0 build 3848. Since we are beginning to roll out Windows 7 Professional 64-bit with the new 2012 Release of Revit, I decided to forego any diagnosis of the problem. We are rolling out Parallels 6.0-11994 with the Windows release as well. I have also increased the user's RAM from 6GB physical, 4GB allocated, to 9GB physical and 6GB allocated to the virtual machine. Now, the problem seems to have subsided but the user is still experiencing a slow down. What I have recently acquired is that the user is leaving the Windows 7 VM on and just quitting the application. So, while the RAM has made things snappier and prolonged the slowdown, he still is experiencing some sort of slowdown. I don't know if this is Parallels related or related to the way the Mac allocates resources. Any help is appreciated.
