I have a Windows NTFS volume mounted on the Mac desktop. How can I get Windows to recognize this volume and treat it like a Windows volume? Currently, I can see it through a shared folder that I created which is set to the /volumes/ path on the Mac. But when I access this Windows drive through Parallels Shared Folders, I have read-only access. I can't delete anything or add anything. When I eject the Windows drive from the Mac, it still doesn't show up in Parallels.

Can anyone provide advice on how I can get Windows to use this drive and prevent OS X from using it?

Parallels Desktop 3188, Windows XP SP 2 running through the Boot Camp partition, Mac OS X 10.4.9.

    Thanks,
    mrb
