    Hi Guys/Gals,

I have been successfully been using Parallels 3188 for a couple of weeks now with Windows XP as the VM but have noticed some oddities with the system clock. When the OS is running without load it appears to tick over just fine but as soon as I load it the whole thing slows right down (roughly 3 seconds passes for 1 second of VM time). - Note: this is running at ~ 70% load on both processors (dual 2.16GHz MBP w/2GB ram)

I can understand HOW this is happening but not WHY parallels has implemented the clock this way? Is there any way to force the guest OS to run directly from the host machine's clock rather than an emulated one?

I had a good look through the options and trawled these forums and google but couldn't find anything that answered or even suggested a problem like what I am experiencing.

The real problem is that what I am doing requires real time responsiveness but while under load.. and I really don't want to have to reboot into windows as that is the reason I got parallels to start with!

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Andrew
