Suddenly my Windows XP VM can't mount or even see the CD/DVD (drive). I'm running on a MBP Core2 Duo. The VM is configured for the real drive. When a CD is inserted sometimes it spins a bit or does nothing and is not mounted in Windows. If I quit the VM the CD mounts just fine in Mac OS X. The DVD/CD drive does not appear under "My Computer." Don't know what happened. Always could mount CDs in the VM before. Have removed and re-added the DVD/CD drive in Configure and have even reinstalled Tools to no help.
    Any ideas?

Is it the same with an image disk?
You can check this by trying to mount any kind of .iso image, or just creating it by yourself as described in following article for example:

can not mount cd under windows

same problem. It works only if you insert the CD before you start Parallels.
    Any solution?
