I have successfully been using Parallels to run Windows on my Mac. But today, it won't start up. I start Parallels, it goes through the boot sequence, the windows logo appears and then – blank. Black screen. Parallels seems to think everything's fine and that the virtual machine is running. The mouse and keyboard works. I have tried: restarting parallels desktop restarting the virtual machine resetting the virtual machine pausing and restarting restarting my mac switching windows to boot from the cd turned off all shared folders The only difference from today versus any other day is that I am at an office, and not home. Could it get so messed up from connecting to a wifi and a server that it breaks Windows? I don't know what I should do. Please help.
Okay, so apparently this was the black screen of death -issue. I couldn't boot in safe mode, so tossed parallels, reinstalled it and windows and office and everything. sigh. I bet this happened because of the update I installed for the mac.
