Somehow my MacVim app got associated with an inappropriate Windows file extension, so I tried to switch the file association to the correct Windows program. Open with -> Choose default program When I tried to do that, I got the following error: Windows Shell Common DLL has stopped working I did some searching on the Internet, and most of what I found said that this message indicated device driver problems. I don't understand that, because my Windows device drivers are provided by Parallels Desktop for Mac. I thought it might be due to a recent Parallels 8 update, so I upgraded to Parallels Desktop for Mac 9.0, but the problem still occurs. Does anyone have insight into what is causing this and how to correct it? Thanks, Bev in TX OS X 10.8.5 Parallels Desktop for Mac Build 9.0.24172 Windows 7 Professional, SP1
