Windows - Shared network randomly stops, bridged mode only works on wifi

Not sure what the magic is to get a stable network config with Windows 7.

In Shared mode the network adapter will randomly stop working at times, as Windows will indicate "Unidentified Network". At that point I can revive it by typing ipconfig /renew (it drops an error but clears the problem) or disabling/enabling the network adapter in Windows. Sometime within the next hour or so, the same thing might happen again and this is while I'm actively working and the Mac doesn't sleep.

I had recently switched to Bridged mode, which did appear to work well for a short period of time. One afternoon I used that VM on a Wireless network for the first time. It worked fine, but now the Bridged mode ONLY works when I'm on Wifi. When setup as it should be with the default network adapter, it will not get an IP address via DHCP and will not communicate on the network. Windows indicates "unidentified network"



I have reinstalled the Parallels Tools, reset the network config to default, nothing has helped.

Please ensure you are running the latest build of Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac : http://kb.parallels.com/111603

Uninstall Parallels Tools completely from the Control Panel and install it again : http://kb.parallels.com/4841 and let us know if that helps.
