Hello. This is my first post so forgive me if I'm in the wrong forum.

I have a MacBook now with Windows XP. I'm thinking of upgrading to a MacBook Pro soon. Does anyone know if I can burn a copy of Windows XP from my MacBook and install it on my Pro with Leopard? Does it also work with Vista?

Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

    Emily,

If you copy your Parallels folder to the new MacBook Pro then install parallels you should be able to run XP with no problem.

Or if you plan on using the built in settings transfer feature of OS X everything should be transferred automatically for you. You shouldn't even need reinstall parallels, but I'm not 100% positive on that since I moved from a iMac G5 to a Mac Pro and was unable to use parallels prior to that.

    Hi everyone,

I've noticed this post has gotten a lot of viewers, so maybe a lot of you were wondering the same thing as me. I contacted someone at Customer Service at Parrallels with the question, and this was their reply:

"There are some issues with the new MAC update. Our Partners at MAC have
made us aware of at least 9 of them. If you VM is vital to your Work,
you may wish to hold off on doing that upgrade until Parallels can
issue a Patch for it's program.

You will need to monitor our website for an announcement of the Release.
Check back with me in a week, I may have some info that I can release by
    then."

They sent this to me a week ago. Hope this can help anyone else who had this question.
