I have been running and installing every beta version of parallels since 3 with NO major problems. Ever since I installed Beta 6, windows XP freezes up just about every time. The only solution is to reset the VM. Everything will run fine, and then it freezes up again. This is what I am running: iMac 20" 2ghz OS X 10.4.6 1.5gb Ram - 512mb dedicated to Parallels Parallels Beta 6 running Windows XP Pro Latest Parallels "tools" installed
I have the EXACT same problem. My issue resolves itself when I reboot... it's after I save the VM SESSION, and launch it again later... Windows ALWAYS FREEZES????
I have this too. One of Parallels staffers, Andrew, advised in another thread to disable sound in the VM config and then try to see if the freezes stop. My solution is NOT to suspend and resume but rather shut down and re-boot each time I want to use my VM. Andrew has said that the next update should fix this. Jim
Does it happens after Suspend/Resume? If so we know about such issue and it is already fixed and will appear in the next public build. As a workaround by now you can use shutdown/start guest Windows instead of suspend/resume.
