When I set up file on the Mac side, when I go to access them on the Windows side they change. example: 435A - ISS - Sink trax workstation 90".pdf on the Mac side will become 4IQJ86~7.pdf on the Windows side. Can anyone tell me why this is happening or how to prevent it?
Hi @Justin11 , just to confirm are these the same files . Can you please reconfirm, if the files on Mac side are located in a different location on the Windows side.
Justin11, it happens due to invalid character " in the file names (from Windows POV https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa365247(v=vs.85).aspx) In this case Windows start using 8DOT3 names.
