i was updating paralles but that failed and then when i tried to start windows i got an error that stated- Windows was unable to start. A recent hardware or software change may be the cause. I was then directed to load the instalation disk. When i loaded the vista disk nothing happened? what to do now?
Can you boot into Safe mode by hitting F8 (Fn+F8) during Windows boot screen? You might need to try loading the last good configuration or some previous date via System restore. You can check for more details, for example, here. If you need to boot from CD, you need to set up the Boot order. In Parallels 4.0 you can do it in Virtual machine -> Configure -> Boot Order. Virtual machine has to be stopped before you make any changes.
