Windows Explorer won't open

    So whenever I try to open a .exe file, I get this message:

    The application "Windows Explorer" can't be opened.

    -1712

    I'm running Parallels 9, Mac OS X Mavericks, and Windows 7.

    Hello Griffync,

    Please follow the steps given below :

    1. Start the Virtual Machine.

    2. Go to Control Panel -> Windows Updates -> Click on Check for updates and install the pending Windows updates

    3. Reboot your Windows and check if the issue is getting resolved.

    You may also try running Microsoft fix it : http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/ by selecting the appropriate option.
