I had been using the latest Parallels for the last week on a new VM. In the process of setting up the system, I created several folders on the desktop. Some programs I placed on the desktop I found on the Mac desktop too. Because I did not want these to clutter up my Mac desktop, I created folders there and moved those icons to folders. When I booted to Parallels VM, I found that my VM reflected the same change. After a few days, I had about 5 folders created, where some of them had shortcuts to various other items in my VM. Day in and day out, they remained until this morning. I booted my Mac and I watched those folders disappear from my desktop. No idea why that happened. After booting the VM, they are not on that desktop either. I'm not sure I can live with folders disappearing on me like this. The only change I'd made was to create a second virtual hard drive. Maybe this affected my desktop folders. Though I am not sure how. Anyone else see a problem like this? Anyone else find out why it happened and a solution for this problem? I find that behavior very odd indeed.
yes i too face this problem , some time there data visual automatically and some time it disappear from desktop
Just as odd, the icons magically reappeared this morning (Monday morning). I have no idea why they disappeared in the first place, nor why a business day later they reappear. I did reboot several times the day all the icons disappeared. They did not reappear then. I am curious to know why it happened now.
