I'm not sure if I am also supposed to post this here, but I can't get windows to open correctly. It just boots to a black screen. I sent my technical details: 463765925. What is the typical turn around time? Unfortunately, I have a meeting first thing tomorrow that I need this working for.
Hello @SFrost , As a possible troubleshooting, please try to Reset the virtual machine: Launch the virtual machine up to when it gets to the black screen. Right-click on the Windows icon from the Dock. Click on Actions. Click on Reset. Please let us know the outcome. Thanks!
I have the same problem which started right after "upgrading" to the current release 19.4.1 from an earlier version of 19. I have 35 years IT experience and am VERY good at diagnosing and fixing issues, so I've tried all the normal troubleshooting stuff as well as web searching and trying things like adding boot flags for minimum boot. Nothing has had any effect. Some times I get a fully black screen and sometimes I get a black screen with the Parallels watermark. I've been fiddling with it for a week or so and even checked to see if you guys had figured out the issue and come out with a new release to fix it. Shame on me for upgrading something that already worked--I know better.
sorry for double posting the image but the UI on this forum (as most forums) isn't great and made it seem like I needed to hit a button to post the image and to exacerbate the issue, I can't edit my post to delete the extra image.
I have the same problem. I got a notification from Parallels to update, so I updated, but immediately after that, Windows won't start up and it's stuck on a black screen. CPU usage is 100%. When I click on the black screen, the mouse stops working and the base Mac stops working. I can regain control by pressing and holding the power button, which makes the Mac respond. Action-Reset, as suggested by Parallels, doesn't improve the situation. I think the staff should think carefully instead of just making cliched suggestions. I don't think this is an easy problem. It's been a while since this thread was posted. I think I need to contact you no matter what the situation is. I'm in trouble, so please do something about it.
I have the same issues described in this post. Tried reinstall, uninstall, reinstall and reset suggestions to fix but have had no luck. This only started after I applied the latest update. Really need this issue resolved.
A black screen during Windows boot typically indicates an issue with the display, graphics drivers, or startup processes. First, try restarting the PC and entering **Safe Mode** by pressing F8 or Shift+F8 during boot. Once in Safe Mode, update or roll back the display drivers. If the issue persists, check for loose connections with the monitor or try an external display. You can also attempt a **System Restore** to revert to a previous state where Windows was functioning properly. If none of these steps work, consider repairing Windows through the **Startup Repair** option in the recovery menu.
