The problem I have is an interesting one. I have a Windows 8 64-bit Host (Lenovo Yoga 13) and a Windows 7 Pro 32-bit Guest OS. In my Windows 7 systems, I have a custom program, which I launch with a shortcut in the Start Menu on pre-Windows 8 systems. It is a 32-bit program, which cannot launch on any 64-bit systems, thus the need for the 32-bit VM. I know Parallels Workstation can expose its installed programs to Windows 8, BUT it doesn't seem to be able to expose things like shortcuts in the Start Menu to Windows 8. (Parallels Workstation doesn't seem to actually add a Guest Programs folder to the Windows 8 Start Screen. I had to go digging into the .pvm to find the program folder. I'm still working on how to get the Guest Programs to appear on the Win 8 Start Screen.) If anyone has succeeded in launching a Guest OS program through a shortcut on the Host OS, I'd be interested in hearing how you did it. Thanks!
