Hi, I am using my private pacbook pro at work. To be compliant with not connecting private machines to the work network I am using my corporate image inside a windows 7 VM and I am assigning a Dlink wifi usb stick directly to it so it can connect to the corporate wifi network. After upgrading to DP 10 I noticed that my VM was using 100% cpu when showing idle in the windows taskmanager. Today I tried to connect the VM to my thunderbolt ethernet and connecting it to the wired network unassigning the USB wifi adapter. PErformance and cpu load immediatly fell back to the normal levels and my fans are silent again.

Reconnecting the USB wifi device brings back the old behaviour.

I have the same problem. It happens to my Ubuntu guest OS. If I plug in a TL-WN822N or a TL-WN722N, CPU maxes out. If I plug in a WG111, it calms down again.

In fact, I can confirm the same issue occurs in my Windows 8.1 guest as well. The same wifi dongles push CPU utilisation to the max.
