I migrated a Windows 7 PC into Parallels using transporter over my LAN. (15+ hours, often appearing hung with no visible progress but it finally finished) When I launch the VM Parallels wants to do some sort of 4 step configuration and then warns me not to shut down while it does so. Fine.

Then it gets to the end and tells me to login and run the CD. (What CD? I guess it must be some virtual doohickey?)

However before I can Windows tries to do "Startup repair" and says "Windows cannot repair this computer automatically...Click Finish to Exit and Shutdown your computer". If I do that the process just starts over again.

I can get into advanced options, and even open a DOS prompt, but at no point can I actually login into regular Windows.

Any ideas? Does transporter actually work?

Looks like a normal WIN7 install prompt

"Then it gets to the end and tells me to login and run the CD"

Appears to be a request for the WIN7 installation disk

the request is the normal prompt when install WIN7 from installation disk
