Help. I've been using Windows 7 on my Macbook Pro, with great pleasure and success. Then . . . a few days ago, I installed an external cd burner and then it said I had to restart the computer for the installation to take affect. At that point, I totally screwed up. I click on the red dot, and instead of clicking on suspend, I clicked on Stop and then tried to
restart and windows would not open after that.

Now I cannot get to any of my files in windows 7.

I installed a new windows 7 in parallels, hoping I'd be able to see all my folders and just drag and drop from one windows 7 to the other windows 7. No such luck.

How can I retrieve my files from the windows 7 that won't open?

    Thanks
    Donna

    Do these steps

    Try these steps,
    1. Press the power button and immediately press f8 button. Now you will get a pre-boot menu.
    2. Now click on the "Last Known Good Configuration".
    3. Now your system boots up without any issues.
    4. If the issue is not resolved, try booting your system in safe mode by pressing the f8 button again.
