I just performed an update to Build 9.0.24229, and following the update my Windows 7 installation crashes upon launching to the desktop. I thought maybe I had made some change to the setup that was causing it, so I created a completely fresh Windows 7 VM. Installation went fine, then the same crash occurred once install was complete.

I hope there is a simple fix for this because my work is at a standstill until I can get the VM up and running again.

    Hello ssmith147 ,

If your Windows 7 crashes after the installation, please try (re)installing Parallels Tools as suggested at: http://kb.parallels.com/4841

If still the issue persists, please create a problem report ID and send us. Follow the steps in this link to create a problem report: http://kb.parallels.com/9058

I booted into safe mode to delete the tools. That went fine. Then I rebooted, and I was able to enter the OS again. I selected Install Parallel Tools, which went fine. After reboot, the crash returned. So I'll enter a bug report, but is there a way to get a previous version of Parallel Tools so I can continue working?

    Hello ssmith147,

If you would like to install the previous version of Parallels Tools you can use the system restore option in Windows. To know how to use system restore, follow the steps suggested at: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows7/products/features/system-restore (select the restore point of older Parallels Tools, if there is no restore point we cannot use system restore)

When your Windows crashes, if it gives you any error message please reply us with the exact error and also provide us the screenshot of the error message to help you better.
