Ok...i'm having a bunch of issues with my install of parallels. I used to run this same partition with xp pro 64-bit, and then when I got windows 7 i opted for redoing the VM with a 32-bit version due to the slowness of the 64-bit install. I thought this might solve the issues of just plan being slow. It didn't. Plus after the install of windows 7 I've been getting random issues. First and most annoying and often occurring is a kernal panic in the VM stating the usual BSOD bs about paged file in non-paged area. This happens i figure on the average of once a day. Another annoying issue is that for some reason parallels doesn't like it when i connect and disconnect an external monitor to my laptop. Often this dislike presents itself in the VM going black for a few minutes, and all to often it kernal panics(not the page fault error). Of course there is the slowness of the whole machine while running the VM.

machine: 2.4 ghtz C2D w/ 4 gigs of ram and the 9600m gt graphics card. snow leopard 10.6.2
VM: 2 gigs of ram, 2 cores, windows 7 32-bit, ext.

    Anyone have any ideas?

For speed I suggest you reduce the VM's memory to 1 GB and try that. What do you mean with "ext." for the VM? Have you got MacFUSE installed on the Mac? You may want to try removing that.

I don't have Macfuse installed. and ext means all the rest are standard features, save that i think i have the graphics mem set at 256
