This has been an issue with Parallels Desktop version 13 from the start. I'm now on 13.3.0 43321 and its still an issue and needs to be fixed in the next update. Nearly every time I start my Windows 10 VM it loads up in a very small sized window on macOS and then worse the window isn't resizable to the size it was prior to shutting it down for nearly 3-4 minutes after it boots if at all. The resize handles on the window simply do not respond. Worse, after sizing the window and then shutting it down..the VM doesn't retain its size again when starting it up. Can we get a fix for this issue?
I'm experiencing this same precise problem. I have a plug-in package called "DT7" or "DocuTools 7" and it includes an unresizable window that you can't even navigate. This only happened since Parallels was updated. So it's either a Parallels or Microsoft Update or some intersection of the two. The vendor says it's a Parallels issue. I'm so frustrated I could spit nails. I need help and "tout suite" with this problem. It's embarrassing for my clients and my college students. I look totally technically incompetent.
Hi Ronald Bokleman. Please follow the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps. 1. Open the virtual machine's configuration window, select Options -> Startup and Shutdown -> Custom and set Startup view to 'Same as last time'. 2. Select Options -> Full Screen -> Advanced settings -> set Scale to fit screen option to 'Auto'. Restart the virtual machine and check whether it is starting with the same Window size.
