Browsing this forum I am surprised by the number of folk who've jumped into upgrading to version 12 as soon as it is available. You only have to read through some of the earlier posts from when version 11 was released to know that Parallels has pretty poor quality control. It's inevitable that there will be a 12.1 released pretty soon. So, I'm wondering - why are folk so keen to be unpaid beta testers?
i upgraded because i was actually about to sell my mac and buy another windows laptop for my work because i had some programming software that just refused to play with retina well. It would look blurry or if i used higher resolution and scaling it looked broken and unusable. This was to the point that looking at it was giving me headaches in 30 min. I was assured that parallels desktop 12 would offer better windows to retina resolution so i figured why not. This is in fact true. My programming software now looks good. Be it not as good as native mac but i can run it in 1650x1050 with high dpi and its readable and doesn't look broken. I could tell the improvement right away. This is just my case. I also like all of the other new features as well especially toolbox. Its nice to have useful tools in one location.
