I have build 9344 & I see that there are many newer builds now checking here on the forums, but it is only in this forum that I saw it. But I had been doing the check for updates periodically & just did it & it tells me I have the latest one. But that is obviously NOT true. I also checked the manual & it says it is supposed to work & I checked the preferences & it is set to work & to check automatically. & also to install automatically. Will that ever happen? Others have also reported this in posts. So, did I miss something? Is there some secret to getting check for updates to actually check & report accurately rather than just appearing to check & coming back & saying I have the latest update when I don't? Now that I have stumbled onto the fact that there are critical updates (since I have a 2010 new MacBookPro) I will install that update, after reading some more to make sure I know what I'm doing, but how do I get check updates to work? Will installing the latest build fix it? Do I have to come back here just to make sure I have the latest build?
