Why does Parallels want this URL

I have Parallels all the time running. Strangely I got following message from Litte Snitch "Parallels wants to connect to b2.6d.354a.static.theplanet.com on TCP port 80 (http)".

Why is this since I was not running any app within the VM and the app that is mostly used there is a bookkeeping app with no Internet connection whatsoever.

 

Parallels checks periodically for the availability of new versions. Could be that.

 

it is that... if you go to that url, you get a blank page, but the parallels logo is shown in the address bar.

 

If you request the enitre URL you get the most recent version information.
