I have been using Windows 2000 Professional with Virtual PC for several year to run QuickBooks. Now with Parallels, which Windows XP version should I buy? I assume Windows XP Professional with SP2 (and not Home Edition)?

Also, when Vista comes out will there be an upgrade price?

    Thank you,

    David

Any version of windwoes can be used.

Upgrading to vista would be a microswift issue. But you can be sure they will charge an upgrade fee.

You might check the Microsoft site to see if you could upgrade directly from Windows 2000 to Vista.

My question is simillar so I will add to the thread

I purchased parallels and windows media edition at the same time - not having thought there was much difference. But Media Edition is not supported. Two earlier posts say that it works except for 'video playback'

Can someone please tell me if the upgrade supports Media Edition, And later when I redeem the Vista coupon, that it [extreem edition?] will be supported.

    Thank you.

I looked but didn't see if you could. In any event I have decided to buy XP but can't decide between Home and Pro.
